The backstory:
The glowing red and yellow sign in the distance made the detour worthwhile. The air no longer smelled of exhaust and break fluid. Instead, visions of a double-double and a mess of fries filled my thoughts. But wait––did the freeway congestion follow us here? Not moving ... 5 minutes ...10 minutes. Glancing down at my satchel, I smiled. I'd found my joy again. Here was a chance to grab the hidden moment ... a perfect painting opportunity. In line.
